Internet Woes!

I'm just letting you know that I'm having internet problems, and am waiting for them to get fixed. I can post and comment, but can only download if it's a very small file - and I can't upload at all. My internet is only working to about 20% of what it should be, and is constantly dropping out. My provider said a technician would need to investigate further to find out what is going on (or what's not going on, I should say!)

I'm telling you this because I had planned to offer another Daily Download for September's Scrap Twist Blog Train, but, depending on the state of my internet, I may not be able to do this. I realise there are still a few weeks to go, but I wanted to give you plenty of notice! But, rest assured, you will definitely get the bundle sometime! I will also have a (much smaller) bundle for the Pixel Scrapper Blog Train, but you may have to wait for that as well.

I also had plans for another, mid-month giveaway on a new Facebook page I'm trying to set up, but that has had to go on the back-burner for the time being, too.

I'll post on here when things are back to normal, so keep checking back!

Another New Blog

I have started a new blog "Inspire Me : Words To Live By".

I have been collecting quotes for years now, and I have a huge amount of them - binders upon binders of both hand written and typed quotes, book after book of quotes, quotes saved on my desktop computer, quotes saved on my laptop, quotes saved in a folder in my emails, quotes found online. I have so many, and they're actually unusable - because none of them are sorted into categories! Which means that, when I need a quote on a specific topic, I can never find one, and (you guessed it!) I have to go online to look up even more quotes!

I'm hoping that starting the new blog will force me into finally sorting out all the quotes, once and for all.

Eventually, I would like to write a little about the individual quotes, and what they mean to me, but that's a little way down the track yet. I was thinking, though, that I'd like to offer printable photo quotes - combining beautiful images with meaningful words - and I've done one so far, which you can see below:

If you like the look of this, head on over to the Inspire Me Blog to download it. (The image is in JPG format, and is 8 inches by 6 inches). There's only a couple of posts on the blog so far, so it's quite empty for now - but that will hopefully change quickly!

Pixel Scrapper Blog Train : Good Vibes

No, you're not seeing double - I have another blog train kit for you today! I have finally got back into participating in the Pixel Scrapper Blog Train. My last one was in March of this year, then there was the "Pass The Kit" challenge, then we started up the Scrap Twist Blog Train. But, Pixel Scrapper was where I got my start in designing, and I really missed being a part of their blog train, so, here I am!

August's theme is "Good Vibes", which made me think: the Sixties, flower power, cool dudes, and "Peace, Man", so that's what I went with!

Good Vibes Mini Kit (66.4 MB)

Make sure you head over to Pixel Scrapper to download the other designers' work - they've created some beautiful kits this month! Just click on the link below, then click on the "Sticky" link for the Aug 2017 Blog Train - Final List:

August Scrap Twist Blog Train : Dog Days Of Summer

Happy August! It's a brand new month, and that means a brand new Scrap Twist Blog Train! This month's theme, palette and twist were chosen by Susan from Sue's Beautiful Reflections. The theme she chose was "Dog Days Of Summer" - a phrase I (as an Australian) wasn't familiar with. So, I had to ask Uncle Google for some help! It turns out that it refers to the hottest part of Summer, where the heat and humidity means you don't feel like doing anything too strenuous. August is the tail end of Winter in Queensland, Australia (where I live), so temperatures are quite comfortable here!

This is the palette we were given to work with, although I chose to work with
only four of the colours, black, white, blue, and the darker pink:

We had two twists this time; the first one being that there had to be something dog-related in the kit, with the second being that we had to make a striped paper with 3 of the palette colours.

My contribution this month has two previews (one for the elements, and the other for the papers) although there is only one 43.6 MB download.

Here are all the Blog Train links:

I hope you enjoy downloading and using everything we have for you this month - see you soon!
